DEVELOPMENT
This might sound crazy to some people, but talent alone is not enough. A great singer or player does not equate to a great artist. Talent is much like a farmer’s crops, it must be cultivated and developed, so we strongly believe this is the first step in the process. This includes more than just practicing your craft. It also includes performance techniques, stage presence, audience communication, and much more. The Selby Music Group may be dedicated to this area more than any other. If the artist is not developed, the talent will only take you so far. We can help develop the areas necessary to strengthen the odds of success in this extremely competitive business.
The next step it to capture the artist’s talent on recordings. This is where production comes in. Glenn Selby has been involved in many studio productions over the years. From simple demos in the basement studio at Belmont College in Nashville to complete record projects in hi-tech digital multi-track suites. No matter the project, Glenn gives the utmost attention to every detail to make the project successful. Your project would receive nothing less. If it’s a one-song demo, we’ll implement just the right amount of instrumentation and vocals to showcase the song and/or the artist. Never over-powering, never overwhelming.
MANAGEMENT
Finally, the artist is ready for management. At Selby Music Group we understand that management is much more than just paperwork or booking appearances. We know it’s a relationship.
